baby update and ear update!

Well, I went back to the doctor on Monday and everything looks great! Baby is no longer a dot on the ultrasound. I actually saw toes.....that is about all i could make out though. haha!
Well, Henley is not the one with the ear infection now. I woke up Friday night in SEVERE pain with my ear. Adam went to the store and bought me tylenol (only thing i can take while PG) in the middle of the night and put some ear drops in my ear. I have an AWESOME husband! Okay....so that didnt help the least bit. Thanks for trying!!! I actually couldn't take the pain any longer and drove myself to the ER. SCARY.....to say the least! The wait was 3 or more hours....okay...so i just went back home.
Today i went to see an ENT and he says that i am getting ear infections from Henley. Never thought that was possible. He said maybe now that she has tubes, my ear infections may get better. Did i mention this was my 2nd one in 3 months. If the ear infections continue.......I WILL HAVE TO HAVE TUBES TOO....hahaa! Maybe i will not be posting pics of the nurses wheeling me off in a little red wagon into surgery like they did Henley.

our weekend....

Henley loves the trampoline.....there is no way I could stand all that static in my hair! My plan was to take a nice Saturday nap but all I could hear was Henley and Adam outside laughing and jumping and I couldn't resist going to spend some time with them outside and taking some pictures. I must say.....i did take some good ones!

This is her Schwinn tricycle that her Uncle Kev and Aunt Kelcy got her for Christmas. She drives it like Fred Flinstone.....she will not use the pedals....even though this picture looks like she is really into it!

Henley loves to ride with her Daddy. I think Mommy goes a little too fast for her! Yes, Henley has on a Christmas shirt. I bet you can't guess who dressed her. Anytime Adam dresses her he has to make sure it looks ridiculous.

Also, one last thing......We went for a check up today after having tubes put in. They said her ears looked fantastic and her hearing was back to normal. Praise God!!! He never fails to answer a prayer! I prayed that her attitude would go away too....haha! That "Red Headed" attitude is here to stay....who am I kidding!

Baby #2 on the way.....

During the Christmas holidays, Adam and I found out that we are expecting again. We are both really excited. I must say.....I did not do the baby dance like Adam did. You will have to get him to show you one day. I don't think Henley really understands. Adam told her there was a baby in mommy's tummy so she lifted up my shirt and says "there no baby in mommy tummy" One day last week though she was stretching my belly button and saying "open your mouth baby". I thought that was sort of funny! Anyway, my due date is Sept 1. Wow, that is a long way away. haha! So far so good. I feel fine, just a little tired of course. This is a new ballgame for me working a full time job and being pregnant. I am sure i will do fine! I will post a pic from Christmas.

Well I know I dont update as much as I need to but here is just a funny picture of one silly little 2 yr old. Henley did this while i was cleaning the bathroom. The only thing that has remotely changed in our lives is that I now have a full time job. Henley is in preschool and loving it!

Wow! We havent updated in while.

Nothing much has been going on with us. We have been enjoying our summer spending time at the lake mostly. I also made a trip to Alabama adventure for the first time with Henley. She loved it to say the least. The only trial we are currently facing is keeping Henley in her baby bed. I put her down for a nap one day and she refused to sleep. Of course she was crying, and I normally just let her cry. For some reason I went to check on her, my motherly instinct i guess. She was sitting and smiling straddling the side of her baby bed. It scared me to death. We thought it scared her too. A week later she tried again and fell out onto our hardwood floors. She didn't cry too long so she must have hit the cozy nursery chair on the way down. After trying lots of different options we have now taken the springs out of the baby bed and now her mattress sits on the floor inside of her baby bed. It looks like she is in jail! Whatever works I guess! Anyway, I just thought I would give you a little update on us.

Well, I am so glad the holidays are over. We had a great Christmas but way too many places to go. We loved spending time with our family though. (especially, the ones we never get to see) No real funny stories to tell about the holidays. This morning though Henley found a good way to entertain herself and mommy. She was sitting in the high chair letting them rip and was laughing at herself. I was trying to be a mature mom and pay no attention to it, but it was getting too freaking funny. So, I started laughing and she wouldnt stop. She was straining and her face was turning blood red just to try to fart and impress me. Bless her heart she is gonna be just like her daddy.

I thought I would post a couple more pics of Henley on her first birthday. Be glad I am not posting the pic of her and her floaters in the tub. I am glad she waited until she was a year old to poop in the tub. Luckily for me, it happened on a Sunday morning before church. (that's Adam's dayto give her a bath.....hahaha!!!!)
