Santa Claus came to our house...

This was after Santa Claus came down our chimney! Henley was so excited to see everything under the tree!
Harper was a sick baby sister. She threw up a few times....I think she had a touch of Henley's stomach virus she had the week before.

Henley and her big girl bicycle! Big heads run in the family.....She has yet to hit the concrete outside because we haven't gotten her a new helmet. She rides all over the inside and is pretty dangerous.....watch out!

Harper got to watch her big sis open all of her presents....not too excited though because she wasn't feeling so hot.

Harper has started eating baby food and she loves it. This was her first jar of squash....as you can see....she is loving it. Between every bite she just smacks on her fingers hence the reason she has it all over her face. Too too cute.

I sure am blessed with 2 beautiful girls...

I took a few pictures of the girls before church yesterday morning in their Christmas dresses....they should just melt your heart. So happy that Little Miss Henley is feeling better. She got sick and was throwing up for 6 hours straight Thursday night. It was so sad!

a few updated pictures...

Henley cheesing it up playing in the snow for like maybe 5 minutes. We didnt have much time before we had to be at the mall to have our picture made with Santa.
Check out these big blue eyes and all those rolls in that arm....just too precious. I was actually at home this saturday so I set up a little photo shoot with harper.
Of coures....big sis wanted to be naked like harper too. I know she's three and to old for naked pictures but whatever makes her happy.

Christmas cards have been mailed....

So I actually wanted to post our family Christmas card this year but I can't seem to save it or copy and paste it from the website. grrr....S T U P I D copy rights. I had to spell that word out because I have a three year old that soaks in every single word you say. She is listening when you would never imagine she is. I have started spelling everything out of habit.....I actually spelled out the word butt the other day at work....I need to stop. Anywho, back to what I originally sat down to blog about. Below are the pictures that were used on our Christmas card. Sorry you dont get to see the real thing. It sure is cute though!

Happy Turkey Day...lets get ready for Christmas

These never post the way i want them to, so start at the bottom of this post.

As soon as we got home from the lake.....we immediately went to Lowes bought our real tree for the year and came home and decorated the house for Christmas. I love Christmas....just wish I had some money to spend. The picture above was taken right before bed....thanks Granny for their Christmas pj's!
The picture above was taken Thanksgiving Day before going to Adam's parents house! Poor Harper she has her second double ear infection!

The pic above is my side of the family that we spent the weekend at Lake Guntersville with. We rented a huge house that had lots of stuff to entertain us. I'm talking playground, swiming pool, hot tub, ping pong, canoe, foosball, putting green, basketball court, and tons of board games. We had so much fun.....I hope we start making this a Thanksgiving tradition. I feel I need to mention that we played a basketball tournament and I actually scored 6 points....haha! The only small disaster we had was Henley falling in the swimming pool. Dont worry....it had a cover on it but for some reason she thought she could just walk out there and get the ping pong ball. She was freaked out, but Cheyenne saved her from getting too wet. She only was wet from the waist down.

two cute little girlies...

This is Henley dressed up as a scarecrow for school. I swear we dress up for this and that all the time. Its expensive, but its worth it because she is so stinking cute! Plus, Granny always comes up with cute outfits!
The pic below was taken at Eli's 1st birthday party. I just have a feeling Harper is going to be a mommy's girl. At least I am praying she will be....haha!

Happy Veterans Day....

Harper's teacher at school decided it was picture day since Harper was dressed in her red, white, and blue. This outfit is so cute on her. We have Aunt Lisa to thank for the outfit!

Sorry Aunt Lana about not having shoes on! Alana think all babies should have shoes on at all times. I say nah....if she can't walk....she dont need them!

here we go again...

Well this morning I decided to take Harper to the doctor. She has been coughing a little but nothing bad. Adam and I got absolutely no sleep Saturday night or Sunday night. She was up all night long. She seemed to be pawing at her ear like a puppy dog would do. I know she isn't old enough to pull on them but i think that was her way of letting me know they hurt. After daycare reported yesterday that she was fussy all day and never napped over 20 minutes....we decided it was probably time to see Dr. Farr. You guessed it....DOUBLE ear infection. Poor thing....she is only 10 weeks old. I am praying she doesn't follow in her big sisters foot steps with the ear infections. She is at her Granny's today and will be at her MawMaw's tomorrow. If that don't make you feel better....nothing will! Please pray for us that we all get sleep!

Let's get our carve on...

Granny always surprises everyone each year and dresses up. She never tells what she is going to be. In the past Henley has been scared of every costume....so this year she decided to be a crayon. Henley wasn't scared but still seemed a bit puzzled as to why her Granny was dressed up like this. She is so much fun and the kids just adore her as do we!
Every year we have a pumpkin carving contest with Adam's family. We always look forward to this. This year it was a little challenging with 3 small ones in the house, but we still were done before 8 oclock! Natalie skipped out on us a little early so she is not in the picture but she did carve the cinderella castle! I carved Cinderella for Henley and she loved it.

Take a guess on what this pumpkin is below...its Adam's pumpkin!
He says its The Bear, but I think it looks more like Freddy than Bear!!

My two Stinkers....

Harper at 10 weeks old and Henley at 3 years. Henley is still just loving her to death! These two girls can be a handful but I wouldn't have it any other way. Okay....well maybe with a little less temper! haha!

a couple of pics

Here is Henley on her barbie jeep. Mom bought her this over a year ago at a yard sale for $50.00. What a bargain! She has been terrified of it for the past year and for some reason decided yesterday that she would finally get in and take off. She was so cute on it! As you can see it looks like her mommy taught her how to drive. haha!
Here is Harper at 9 weeks and almost 12lbs! Too cute for her own good! Poor thing had 4 shots last week and hasn't been sleeping all night since....i guess i should say poor mommy and daddy!
Hopefully, we will get back in that routine! I shouldn't complain....if we get up, its only once and only for about 45 minutes. I know some people get up every few hours with their little ones!

Working Momma...

So yesterday was my first day back to work from maternity leave. I only shed a few tears after dropping Harper off at daycare. She seemed to do fine! Wow, was last night busy.....I walked in the door Adam was already cooking supper. I started giving Harper a bottle and had the great ideal to iron clothes at the same time.....that was very interesting! Gotta do what you gotta do though. After supper and kitchen was cleaned, both girls had to have baths.....after baths they had to be put to bed....no time to really play. I do think Adam played with them for a few minutes upstairs while i was picking up and putting clothes on the wash. It really is true a woman's work is never done. I am just so thankful I have an awesome husband that helps!

An update on Harper....well she and I had a nice long talk on Sunday night. I told her that her mommy was going back to work and she and daddy really needed their sleep. She listened and said she would do her best! Yippie, she has slept all night the past two nights. Henley on the other hand has woke us up both nights. I guess I need to have that talk with her. haha! Maybe tonight!

Henley blows out 3 candles....not literally though

Henley turned 3 September 26! I can't believe how big she is getting. In the picture above was the night I made cupcakes for her party at school. She has yet to blow out candles on her birthday so i thought this year would be the year. I talked it up for days. I thought we better practice at home the night before.....no luck. She was all smiles like in the pic above until she saw the flame! I ended up blowing it out for her.

As you can see in this picture her friend Mason blew it out for her at school. She also was too shy to play pin the tail on the donkey at school.

Once again at her real birthday party.....no blowing the candles out of her Princess cake! Her party was at the park and I was so scared it would be ruined by all the rain. Every thing turned out great!

The rain held off until the very end of the party so we just let Henley and her friend, Braden, play in the rain for about 30 minutes! She had so much fun. They were hilarious! Happy Birthday Henley!

Gearing up for BAMA FOOTBALL! I think this is such a cute picture of Henny and E-I! Wow, we have the cutest red headed and blue eyed kids ever. We meaning Alana and I! Remember they aren't brother and sister....just cousins!

Above was a 3 week photo shoot with me. She has on a precious little dress that her Aunt Lana bought her. It fits her so good and its 3-6 months.

Isn't Big Sis so sweet to Harper! Henley still loves her to death and wants to hold her all the time. Wonder how long it will last?

Well I thought I should do a short update and post a few pics. I have been so busy trying to take care of the kids, keep the house clean, and plan for 2 birthday parties for Henley. She is having one at school and then another at the park. I really dont know how I will manage all of this when I go back to work in 3 1/2 weeks! As for now, everything is going pretty good! Keep in touch for horror stories when I go back to work. Gotta go make cupcakes so until next time......Roll Tide Roll

Harper Leslie is here....

Harper Leslie is here. She was born Friday at 12:57pm. She was a little chunky monkey just like I expected. She weighed a whopping 9lbs. 80z. and was 21 inches long! She didnt really look that big but that is what the scale read. haha!

Big Sister Henley just loves her and is always wanting to help!

By this point I was ready to get up and walk out of the hospital. I felt great. A planned C-Section is the way to go. I even got released a day early from the hospital! I was so happy to be home.

Just had to post the pic of her chubby cheeks. I know the pic is a little gross, but i love the cheeks. I will post more and give more details when i have a little more time. Gotta go for now. Thanks for all of your prayers!

wow.....its getting really close

Tomorrow is my last official day of work for 9 weeks. I am so excited about this!
I will have the first part of next week to myself to get everything perfect for Harper's arrival.
I did go to the doctor this week and had lost a little more weight but my doctor wasn't concerned at all. He said and I quote " I am not worried about your weight, this baby is enormous" Sort of scary I know. I just pray she is healthy....that is all I care about. I am still predicting she will weigh about 9lb 4oz! I am so excited to meet Harper and see what color hair she has. I dont know why that is such a huge deal to me, but its killing me not knowing if she is going to be red headed or not. I guess because....every single day somebody makes a comment about how beautiful Henley's hair is and I am just afraid Harper will have boring brown hair and will never get comments like that. I know...I know....its crazy!

Please keep us in your prayers for next Friday!

The date is set....

Well the date is finally set. Harper Leslie will be joining us on Friday, August 21st around 12:30!
My prediction is she will weigh a whopping 9lbs 4oz when she gets here. Alana is guessing 9lbs 7oz. Anyone else want to make a prediction?

I will be perfectly okay with her coming on her own earlier but please pray that my water doesn't break in pulic....that is a huge fear of mine!

The nursery is complete!

This is all the girls! Thanks so much for being such wonderful friends....i love you all!

I must give props to all the peps that contributed to the room decor. Adams mom made the curtain, basket liners, and pillow. Adam hand crafted the letters on the wall. I painted the canvas pictures hanging on the wall. I know one is better than the other one.....it was getting really late one night while I was painting them.

Eli is so stinking cute. I couldn't resist not putting this pic up. Henley wouldn't be still long enough to get a good pic of her.

Well, I had a very long weekend. I was so tired.....not to mention swollen feet. Yes, I had cankles this weekend. Joys of being pregnant. It started on Thursday night when a group of people from church gave me a small shower. (I carried Henley and that is what wore me out) Friday we celebrated Adam's Dad's 60th birthday. On Saturday, my wonderful friends gave me a small baby shower and it was perfect. I got so many cute things. After the shower, my helpers with decorating came over and we pretty much finished up the nursery. The only thing I like doing is painting the table that the lamp is sitting on. I just didnt have it in me this weekend. haha!

Oh and no the doctors office still hasn't called to confirm the date and time. I go first thing in the morning so I will be sure not to leave until i have CONFIRMATION!
