Memorial Day weekend...

We had a good weekend! We spent most of the time with the family. Of course....everything we tried to go, we got wet. We tried to go watch Natalie play ball on Saturday...got wet. Sunday we spent the afternoon at my mom's after church. Adam went fishing at a nearby pond...got wet. While Mom and I stayed back at her house with Henley, Kev, and Cheyenne. We tried playing outside but guess what....we got wet. Henley did finally decide she wanted to drive her Barbie Jeep that she has had since September! I was so proud of her. Yesterday we spent the day at Adam's parents house and ate until we were sick. Alana was given the name "Mother Hen" by Natalie. She was truly impressed that her mom had made brownies and a strawberry cake. haha! Both were very yummy. We grilled out, played outside a little, had a photoshoot with Eli, played cards, and ate again. Great day. I have posted one pic of Eli and Henley together. I will let Alana post all of her favorites of Eli by himself!

You know it's funny that she wouldn't drive her jeep until now. Huett and Sam have 2 four-wheelers, a Catepillar dump truck, a john deere gator and tractor(allgifts from my husband's grandfather and all battery-powered of course) so needless to say we were oversaturated with riding toys. The boys both learned to drive them well and in the high speed by the time they were 2 or earlier. But Ava, Trisha's little girl, wouldn't drive them at all or if she did, she would just drive them into the wall or wherever. She didn't learn to drive one until she was almost 3 or older. Must be a girl thing. Remember that time we snuck out from your mom's when we were like 13, me, you and Jamie in that little (tan I believe) truck and you drove the back road to The Yellow Jacket and back wearing hats and sunglasses so no one would recognize us. That was just what... 12, 13 years ago. We are getting old. haha!
